I’m no stranger to Pinterest, and I collect recipes on an almost frenzied level, but rarely try them out. I’m truly a visual person and usually attracted by a beautiful image. The mouth-watering photo of this scrumptious cake on Pinterest got all my senses going, and this time I actually tried it out. It was amazing and tasted as good as the photos looked. I made it for Mr. B’s birthday in March, and it looked impressive and tasted utterly delectable – rich and super chocolatey, but with the tartness of the berries to cut through the sweetness.
I took some nice photos but didn’t file them properly. I meant to write a post at the time but forgot all about it. I came across them by chance the other day and they put me in mind of the luscious summer berries I’m so looking forward to. I’ll have to find another excuse to make it soon, when berries are in season again. Do I need an excuse?
